Congratulations, Lily and Ben!! One of my favorite places to photograph couples for surprise proposals is on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean north of Santa Barbara. The winter light is especially gorgeous during golden hour and exudes that unique quality of color and tonal range specific to Santa Barbara County. It is no coincidence that so many of the photographs, whether you want them to or not, give off this romantic Sunset Magazine vibe for anyone that steps in front of a camera.

Lily and Ben’s proposal was beautiful. I teared up during these precious moments. It was really heartfelt and uplifting. And so then we had fun together, trying different poses and different locations until the sun set and an owl joined us on a nearby telephone pole, getting ready for it’s evening affairs…again, Congratulations!!
